🌍 Mangrove restoration in Andobobe: results already visible
Mangrove restoration in Andobobe: already visible results
In the Andobobe area, located in the Sofia region of Madagascar, our mangrove restoration project continues to progress with concrete and encouraging results.
Plant production at the heart of the project
In collaboration with our partner Labgroup, we have produced 3,125 mangrove saplings. This essential step directly contributes to coastal reforestation efforts and the regeneration of a fragile yet vital ecosystem.
Planting activities in full swing
Planting operations are actively continuing on the ground, driven by the ongoing commitment of the GDV team. Thanks to this mobilization, young saplings are being progressively planted in strategic areas.
Already promising results
Early observations are very positive:the young mangroves are showing good recovery and are starting to develop properly.
These encouraging signs highlight the relevance of the actions implemented and the quality of field monitoring.
A lasting environmental and social impact
Beyond planting, this project is part of a broader approach aimed at:
Protecting the coastline against erosion and climate hazards
Preserving biodiversity, especially marine and coastal habitats
Supporting local communities by strengthening their resilience to environmental change
Continuing the commitment
We remain fully committed to ensuring the success and long-term sustainability of this initiative, alongside our partners and local communities.
Thank you to everyone involved in this project!
Together, let’s continue to act for a greener future.
